| I speak to the hearts of those who believe, and pour out my spirit so you can receive. My rendered salvation, I laid down my life, and hung from those boards that cut like a knife. Then out poured my blood which covers your pain, It's pureness sustains and mercy remains. Your eyes did not see the holes in my hand, The price that I paid, Who'd understand? I AM the chosen, look what I've done, Those splinter-filled boards from which I hung. I bared all for you so that you might rest. I took all of the pain and mastered the test. When you see your blood, it frightens your soul, but when you touch my blood, you're made whole. So don't cry for long, die to your flesh. Come heavy ladened ... HERE IS MY REST! |
