About East Valley Children's Theatre
East Valley Children's Theatre (EVCT) is
more than just a theatre.  It's a place
where children can grow and develop
into confident young adults through
theatre opportunities that teach self-
esteem and build creativity. The
children's troupes perform at bookstores,
libraries, and retirement communities
around the Valley.

EVCT also has community outreach
programs, including Literature Alive,
where homeschooled students perform at
Title I schools and libraries to bring a
story to life and present each child in the
audience with a free book; Bringing
Smiles to Children, where we take our
main stage production to Cardon
Children’s Medical Center to perform for
ill children and their families; and many
other collaborative programs with other
organizations in the East Valley.  We
also sponsor an annual Playwriting
Contest and college scholarships to
members of the company who go on to
college to major or minor in the theatre
arts.

EVCT also provides classes for ages 8-16
in all areas of the theatre arts, including
classes in acting, singing, dancing,
improvisation and more.  We also have a
Spring Break Camp and an extensive
Summer Camp program for ages 5-18.
